Bathroom Graffiti #7: Doctor Who Quotes

This past week, my last week on campus until the summer ends, that bathroom in the library had lots to say about Doctor Who. Here are just a few of the Who-quotes that I found plastered around the bathroom. No idea who started the phenomenon, but I’m glad they did. Apparently, so is Kayla, who pops up to askย where all these ladies are. She gets an answer to, a Facebook group that is small but growing. Good to know…

And fun to read. ๐Ÿ™‚

“You want weapons? We’re in a LIBRARY! BOOKS! The best weapons in the world!-The Doctor”
“Dear Whovians, Why can’t I find you? Kayla Look up Southern Miss Whovians on Facebook.”
“You’ve got a time machine. I’ve got a gun. What the hell. Let’s Kill Hitler. -Melody Pond/River Song
“Some people live more in 20 years, than some do in 80. It’s not the time that matters, it’s the person-The Doctor”
“Knock Knock Who’s there? Doctor. Doctor Who! :)”

  1. Hilarious! Back in my teaching days, the kids would write about their least favorite teachers on the bathroom walls. Little did they know, we used to consider it a real badge of honor in the Teacher’s Lounge to “make the wall!” :O)

    1. haha! We don’t get too much of that at the university, though it does happen from time to time. The bathroom graffiti is removed pretty frequently though, which is part of what makes it fun—new canvas and whatnot.

        1. No, and that does suck. I think it’s easier that they do it as they go though instead of scrubbing a lot of stuff off the walls once or twice a semester. People also tend to write in pencil, which is interesting.

    1. So interesting to watch it shift…I’ve been photographing graffiti in the same university bathroom off and on for the last 6 months just because it’s such a fun thing to observe.

      1. It must be fascinating to observe – I can’t think of many places where people would be so frank ๐Ÿ™‚
Great journal idea! Thanks again for your post, I love learning new things and this was certainly interesting, new and just plain fun!

        1. Glad you enjoyed! It really is funny to see the words on the bathroom wall change–and the topics are generally delightfully amusing.
