#WeekendCoffeeShare: In which Little Jedi Has a Birthday and I am Terrifically Busy

If we were having coffee, it’s likely that I would be on my second or even third cup. I’ve had a week of burning the candle at both ends, and today is a Very Important Day.

Little Jedi’s birthday is today, and we’re off at my parents’ house for his birthday party. I’ve planned a superhero party for him, and I spent a lot of time this week, especially last night, getting things ready for LJ and his cousins to play in the afternoon.

We’ve got games and an Avengers cake, fake walls for them to break through, and we’re going to try a new photobooth out at the party, too. I’m looking forward to it, but it’s been a hell of a thing to prepare for!

It’s was also the beginning of the A to Z Challenge this week, and I’ve been working to publish posts for that. I have some of my posts written, and most of them are written in a fashion in my mind, but finishing the posts and answering comments has taken a lot of time this week. It’s been great fun so far, though, and I’m looking forward to more. After today, I’ll be able to put some more time into reading others’ posts from the challenge and commenting on them, something I haven’t been able to do much of thus far…

Because I also started the new job this week. I’ve been going in early most days this week, and I’ve been learning so many things about the workplace and the nonprofit organization. Everyone in the office has been really kind, and I’m beginning to get the hang of things. I like it, too, spending part of my day in an office for the first time in a while.  It adds structure to days that have been mostly unstructured for me for a long time now, and it’s a good thing for me.

Anyway, enough about work!

It’s time for Little Jedi’s birthday things! Look for the “D is for…” Lady Monster post here later today for the A to Z Challenge! And as always, link up your posts below , but be sure to follow our rules:

1. Only “if we were having coffee” posts on the weekend coffee share linky and hashtag.
2. Use the #weekendcoffeeshare tag on social media, but please don’t use it in your post title so that the hashtag doesn’t get flooded by a single link. (My post title includes the hashtag only because my post includes the linky.)
