If we were having coffee, I would tell you that I’m hoping it doesn’t rain, but that it’s highly unlikely I’ll get my wish. We’re projected for rain and thunderstorms here, and while there are a lot of people who will be out despite the weather, I am not among them. Our plans were mostly outdoors, and I don’t fancy traipsing around in thunderstorms and possible flood conditions. We are planning to see Crimson Peak this afternoon, though, because our plans got a bit derailed this week and we missed going to the theater again, as well as the House of Shock.
Part of me didn’t mind our change in plans so much, though, because our week was a bit too packed as it was. I was feeling a bit poorly at the beginning of the week—my depression and anxiety have been worse than usual lately, and I’ve been feeling fatigued. But Wednesday things felt better somehow, and I spent the day doing a lot of cleaning and a lot of thinking. I did lots of that for the rest of the week, really…Cleaning and thinking.
Last night was our second annual Super Special Sort-of Secret Halloween Event, and I wanted the house to be clean and the decorations out and looking good when friends came by. We spent the evening watching Halloween classics and hanging out. Tonight, if the weather is bad Sam and I will be hanging out at home again. We’ll eat left-over snacks from last night and watch horror movies. Maybe we’ll play Bloody Mary. We might even have our own costume contest and/or tell ghost stories. We’ll be celebrating Halloween regardless, just without all the bad weather. And should any trick-or-treaters brave the weather, we’ll have candy. If the weather holds off, then New Orleans is our playground…There are several parties and events going on, and there’s lots of fun people-watching to be had as well.
If we were having coffee, I would tell you that Go Play is ending, and so is October. Alas, our Halloween festivities are ending! This month has been so much fun–thanks to all of you lovely bloggers who contributed here–and thanks to all of you who commented and read what we were doing in October as well. (You do still have a little while left to get in Halloween challenges, though!)
Part-Time Monster is gearing up for another event, which actually starts tomorrow. I’m participating in National Blog Posting Month this year (NaBloPoMo), which means I’ll be posting each day in November. I don’t really have a theme for the challenge, but one of the things I’ll be doing is working on writing more personal posts and more pop culture posts, as those are things that readers seem to enjoy here but that I haven’t written much of recently, so you can expect to see more of that kind of content. I’ve also joined the NanoPoblano team, and I’m excited about being part of a group of people who are doing this together. More to come on all that tomorrow, though. 😀
And now, I’m off to have Halloween coffee times with some of you guys, and to watch horror movies and be Halloween-y. See you soon. ❤ Link up your coffee post below, and don’t forget to use the #weekendcoffeeshare tag on Twitter and Facebook!
