#WeekendCoffeeShare: 2/27/16

If we were having coffee, I would tell you that I cannot believe we’re already closing out February of this year and starting on March. It seems as though we should still be in January, but here we are anyway!

This week turned out to be a bit of a mess. I’ve been feeling my depression and anxiety more strongly, and I spent a lot of the week just trying to stay awake instead of sleeping the day away. I did manage quite a bit of reading, and I’ve made an appointment with a new therapist to start working through some things and to decide whether the medicine I’m on is the correct choice for me.

I also managed to get the house clean this week, just in time for a visit from a few of our friends and their pups. We spent last night watching Labyrinth and snacking and playing with our pups as a belated birthday gathering for me and farewell to David Bowie. The evening was quite fun, and so the week has ended with me feeling quite a bit better than at the beginning.

I got stuck with my writing again, but I did get some really great ideas from friends and fellow writers on how to push past being stuck, and I’m looking forward to putting those into practice. The coming week is going to be full of writing for me, as I’m trying to get myself back into a routine and produce not just my blog posts, but some other projects that I’ve been thinking about for a while now.

This isn’t something I do all that often because we already have so many wonderful things and because we try to keep ourselves on a budget so that I can work part-time rather than full-time, but sometimes a small splurge is a Good Thing.

I’d been watching the auctions that Purple Moon does on Sundays for a while, wanting one of the little dragons she crafts for my own, and this little fellow that I saw a few weeks ago was still available, so he’ll be coming to live here in NOLA.

He needs a name—any ideas?

If we were having coffee, I would probably stop and listen for a while. My week has been a bit of a roller-coaster, and I’m feeling satisfied but drained. Instead of writing more, I’d like to see what you guys have to say…So link up your coffee posts below, and don’t forget to use the #weekendcoffeeshare tag on Facebook and Twitter!

  1. Puppies and a movie sound like so much fun. Perhaps that experience will be the transition you need from lousy week to groovy week! Can’t wait to find out what you name your dragon. He [she?] is a cutie pie.

    1. It was a really good way to end the week, yes—the pups were snuggly, the company was good, and we had lots of snacks. So far this week is shaping up to be better.
